Job summary

Fresno City College is seeking an EOPS Counselor for a full-time categorized position. You will provide comprehensive counseling, including career and academic planning, and support a diverse student body.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling or related field is required.
• Two years of occupational experience related to ethnic minorities or disadvantaged groups.
• A valid California Community College Credential, or equivalency.
• Experience with EOPS and grant-funded programs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive counseling including personal, career, and educational guidance to individuals and groups.
• Assist in major selection, SEPs, and transfer counseling activities.
• Counsel students on certificate, degree, and transfer options.
• Work to close equity gaps and support underrepresented student populations.
• Participate in matriculation activities and campus committees as needed.
• Engage in program review, SLO development, and assessment to improve learning outcomes.
• Contribute to culturally responsive counseling and collaborate with faculty and staff.
