Job summary

EdFed in Illinois seeks an Equity Loan Officer to educate and guide members through Equity Loan and HELOC applications while delivering exceptional service throughout the lending journey.

You will develop branch relationships, qualify referrals, collect documentation, communicate underwriting decisions, and ensure compliance with TRID, ECOA, HMDA, and other regulations, while aiming to meet monthly production goals and participate in community events.

Qualifications

• Experience in equity lending or real estate lending environments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lending regulations (TRID, ECOA, HMDA) and compliance.
• Ability to utilize loan origination and document management systems effectively.

Responsibilities

• Educate and guide members through Equity Loan and HELOC applications with excellent service.
• Assess needs, explain options, collect and review required documentation, and communicate status.
• Maintain relationships with branches and staff to identify lending opportunities and originate loans.
• Refer mortgage opportunities to Mortgage Loan Officers while maintaining a positive member experience.
• Communicate underwriting decisions and lending alternatives with members; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Close Equity Loans and HELOCs; participate in events to promote products and services.
