Job summary

Family Connections is seeking a FY Youth Development Specialist to promote social development through recreation and psycho-educational groups. The role emphasizes antiracist, culturally inclusive practices and collaboration with schools and communities.

Qualifications include a high school diploma with 3 years in youth services; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. The job involves supervising activities, counseling, and documenting program outcomes daily.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 3 years' experience in youth services.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in human services or related field.
• Knowledge of adolescent development and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate recreational programming and field trips.
• Build rapport with students and facilitate social skills development.
• Facilitate prevention and psycho-educational groups.
• Document data input into the MIS in a timely fashion.
• Provide case management to students as needed.
• Monitor academic and behavioral progress of students.
• Assist in development and marketing of programs in school and community.
• Discuss suspected abuse/neglect with Manager and report to authorities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
