Job summary

The City of Seattle’s Office of Labor Standards is seeking an equity-focused leader to oversee a team of investigators enforcing wage and labor laws, advancing fair workplaces across Seattle.

This Civil Rights Analyst, Supervising role reports to the Enforcement Director, combining policy development, staff supervision, and collaboration with community partners to improve compliance and protect workers’ rights in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, political science, social science, or related field.
• Two years of professional enforcement or compliance investigation experience and two years supervisory experience.
• License: Washington State Driver’s License or equivalent mobility.
• Equivalent background evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor enforcement staff—investigators, senior investigators, and paralegals.
• Develop and implement forward-thinking policies to strengthen enforcement and compliance.
• Build collaborative partnerships to improve information sharing and compliance across Seattle.
