Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks a senior leader to own reliability, performance, security, and lifecycle management of enterprise Linux server, virtualization, storage, backup, and DR services. You will lead a team of systems engineers while hands‑on in architecture, troubleshooting, and recovery activities.

You will partner across Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, Application, Database, and Business Continuity teams to deliver stable, scalable, resilient technology services.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience engineering and supporting enterprise infrastructure in complex environments with hands‑on Linux
• Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and deliver results through others
• Strong knowledge of physical and virtual compute, storage concepts, backup and recovery
• Experience designing and troubleshooting business‑critical infrastructure across hybrid environments
• Proven incident leadership with root‑cause analysis and corrective actions
• Experience with infrastructure lifecycle planning, capacity forecasting, and security remediation
• Experience developing recovery plans including restoration testing and failover exercises
• Familiarity with automation, scripting, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices
• Experience managing vendors, SLAs, procurement, budgets, and project delivery
• Excellent communication with engineers, partners, vendors, and leadership
• Strong organizational, analytical, documentation, and prioritization skills

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of systems engineers and contractors
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership across Linux server environments and enterprise compute platforms
• Own service health, capacity, availability, and lifecycle planning for infrastructure
• Guide架itecture and engineering decisions for modernization, migrations, and retirement of legacy systems
• Lead major incidents, root‑cause analysis, and remediation actions
• Maintain operational standards for monitoring, patching, configuration, and change control
• Develop and exercise backup, restoration, failover, and disaster recovery capabilities
• Partner with application and database teams to align workload requirements with design
• Drive automation to reduce manual effort and risk
• Manage vendor relationships, renewals, and service‑level performance
• Develop capital plans, licensing, maintenance, and infrastructure investments
• Lead cross‑functional projects and communicate status and trade‑offs
• Ensure platforms meet security, audit, regulatory, and governance requirements
• Participate in maintenance, escalations, and critical recovery events
