Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. seeks a senior IT leader to own reliability, performance, security, and lifecycle management for enterprise Linux servers, virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery.

You will lead a team of systems engineers while guiding architecture, troubleshooting, and recovery activities. You will partner across Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, Application, Database, and Business Continuity teams to deliver stable, scalable services.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience engineering and supporting enterprise Linux infrastructure.
• Experience leading technical teams and delivering through others.
• Strong knowledge of compute, storage, backup, DR, and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of systems engineers and contractors.
• Hands-on leadership across Linux servers, compute platforms, storage, and DR.
• Own service health, capacity, availability, and lifecycle planning for the infrastructure portfolio.
• Guide architecture decisions for modernization, migrations, upgrades, and retirement of legacy infra.
• Lead complex incident response with root-cause analyses and stakeholder communication.
• Establish operational standards for monitoring, patching, configuration, and change control.
• Develop backup/restoration and failover capabilities; document results and risks.
• Collaborate with application and database teams on workload requirements and designs.
• Drive automation to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
• Manage vendor relationships, renewals, and SLAs.
