Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. seeks a senior leader to own the reliability, performance, security, and lifecycle management of enterprise Linux servers, virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery services.

You will lead a team of systems engineers while actively shaping architecture, troubleshooting, and major change activities. You will partner across Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, Application, Database, and Business Continuity teams to deliver stable, scalable, and resilient

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Linux systems experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver results through others.
• Strong incident response, root-cause analysis and remediation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of systems engineers; set priorities and growth plans.
• Provide hands-on leadership across Linux servers, compute, storage, data protection, replication, and DR.
• Own service health, capacity, availability, performance, and lifecycle planning.
• Guide architecture decisions for modernization, migrations, upgrades, consolidation, and retirement of legacy infra.
• Lead complex incident response and problem management, including root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Establish operational standards for monitoring, patching, configuration, vulnerability remediation, change control, and documentation.
• Develop and exercise backup, restoration, failover, and disaster recovery capabilities; document outcomes and risks.
• Partner with application and database teams to translate workload requirements into compute/storage/designs.
• Drive automation and repeatable engineering practices to reduce manual effort and risk.
• Manage vendor relationships, support escalations, renewals, and SLAs.
• Build and manage capital and operating plans, forecasts, licensing needs, and investments.
• Lead cross-functional projects and communicate status, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Ensure platforms align with security, audit, regulatory, and governance requirements.
• Participate in maintenance, escalations, and critical recovery events as needed.
