Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a Principal at Isaac Dickson Elementary School to serve as the instructional leader and administrative head. The role focuses on advancing student achievement, equity, and a strong instructional framework while guiding a talented faculty and staff.

The Principal will collaborate with the Superintendent and Asheville City Schools, implement a strategic improvement plan, and lead initiatives that support equitable outcomes for all students across diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

Graduate degree in Education, middle grades, elementary, or secondary content area.
School Administrator/Principal License.
Valid NC Educator Certificate.
Five years of classroom teaching experience.
Three years of experience as an Assistant Principal.
Working knowledge of NC Public Education regulations and laws.

Responsibilities

Builds an equitable school community with a clear vision and culture.
Implements instructional leadership to raise student achievement for all demographics.
Lead the development and execution of a school improvement plan.
Hire, develop, and support staff to ensure high-quality instruction.
Monitor, report, and communicate student progress to families and district leadership.
