Job summary

Explore Schools in Brooklyn seeks a Math Learning Specialist to support students with IEPs in grades 6-8 with data-driven, differentiated instruction. You will collaborate with teachers to implement ICT/SETSS, differentiate instruction, and promote inclusive, equity-focused pedagogy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree in Education preferred.
• New York State Teaching Certification preferred.
• Special Education Certification preferred.
• 2 years classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with students in grades 6-8 and IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide data-driven SETSS and ICT instruction.
• Directly support students to achieve IEP goals.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams across content areas.
• Assist teachers with differentiation in the classroom.
• Collaborate with student intervention referral team.
• Assess students and monitor testing accommodations.
• Maintain accurate and organized student records.
• Engage in identity work to dismantle white supremacy culture.
