Job summary

IDEAL School of Manhattan in New York, NY, is seeking a Middle School Learning Specialist with a Math focus to join our inclusive learning community. This full-time, exempt faculty role begins late August 2026 and is based at 5 Hanover Square, New York, NY 10004.

You will collaborate with teachers, engage diverse learners, and contribute to clubs and advising, supporting a mission of academic excellence and equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with Special Education Designation
• 2-3 years teaching experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Inspire students in an inclusive learning community to achieve personal and academic excellence
• Collaborate with general education teachers to co-plan and implement differentiated lessons via UDL
• Adapt and deliver tiered instruction to diverse learners across middle and upper school
• Establish clear objectives and communicate progress to students and families
• Contribute to school life through advisory roles and extracurricular initiatives
