Job summary

Travis County Clerk seeks three temporary Community Engagement Specialists to support two neighborhood surveys in western Travis County for a Texas Water Development Board program. The role includes door-to-door, public meetings, and telephone outreach with flexible hours through late Oct–mid-Dec, incl. nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Planning/Communications/Public Policy or related field with 4 years of community engagement experience.
• Experience in public affairs, community relations, outreach, or communications.
• Fluent in Spanish is a plus and preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes community engagement strategies and programs.
• Prepares presentations to community groups, agencies, and policymakers.
• Maintains relationships with disproportionately impacted communities and organizations.
• Gathers qualitative and quantitative data to inform County projects and initiatives.
• Represents the County in task forces, meetings, and public engagements.
