Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.
• Knowledge of mental health, substance use, crisis intervention, and community-based services.
• A valid Texas driver’s license and approved driving status are required.
• Candidates whose degree is not in Human Services must have completed at least 24 credit hours in a human services-related field.
• 2 years experience in local mental health authority services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate community outreach activities aligned with organizational and programmatic priorities
• Register the organization for outreach events and maintain a calendar
• Attend outreach events as an organizational representative and provide information about services
• Coordinate attendance of other representatives and communicate event details
• Prepare staff and materials for outreach events
• Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and community partners
• Organize behavioral health taskforce meetings and prepare materials
• Organize outreach materials and presentations
• Support targeted outreach activities for populations facing barriers
• Receive speaking requests and coordinate appropriate representatives
• Document attendance for social media and board reports
• Maintain a tracking system of outreach activities and support grant deliverables
