Job summary

TSNE/FICC, based in Boston, is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to lead outreach across Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, and Hyde Park, connecting residents with climate justice and health equity programs.

You will plan events, manage digital communications, and support grant reporting, working closely with member CDCs in a hybrid arrangement within the greater-Boston area. Start date is August 2026, with a focus on inclusive community engagement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in community engagement, grassroots organizing, or advocacy.
• Strong relationship-building and public speaking skills.
• Experience planning and executing events/workshops.
• Proficient with digital tools (social media, Google/Microsoft apps).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings/evenings/weekends.
• Commitment to racial equity and environmental justice.
• Ability to work in neighborhoods across the Fairmount Corridor.

Responsibilities

• Lead outreach to connect residents and grassroots partners in Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, and Hyde Park.
• Organize community workshops, listening sessions, and events reflecting residents’ priorities.
• Recruit and support residents in policy advocacy and community organizing.
• Coordinate testimony and turnout for public hearings and campaigns.
• Oversee social media, newsletters, and digital engagement efforts.
• Support program strategy, grant proposals, and tracking metrics.
