Job summary

Boston Public Schools Central Office seeks a Community Engagement Manager to design authentic engagement processes and build trust with a diverse set of stakeholders across Boston and surrounding communities.

The role requires strategic thinking, excellent project management, and the ability to work evenings and some weekends to support community forums and advisory council activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate urban education experience.
• Strong strategic, analytical and critical thinking in political environments.
• Proven ability to drive change without direct reporting lines.

Responsibilities

• Promote the BPS vision for family, community and student engagement within Boston and greater Boston.
• Develop and manage relationships with a regional portfolio of constituents and stakeholders to foster trust and collaboration.
• Partner with BPS departments to set engagement goals and execute plan; track deliverables and measure impact.
• Attend meetings to understand stakeholder needs and communicate BPS engagement and OFCA programs.
• Prepare briefs to support leadership decisions and monitor progress for all stakeholders.
