Job summary

City of Seattle seeks a Child Care Program Manager to lead the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) and related childcare investments. You will supervise four Early Education Specialists and one Senior Specialist, set program goals, update policies, and ensure efficient service delivery.

You will also oversee data management, QA processes, and contract development with community partners, collaborating with City managers, funders, and SPS, while promoting equity and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience managing childcare, early childhood, or education focused programs.
• Ability to communicate at all levels with diverse communities.
• Experience writing and monitoring contracts, grants, or other standards within a program.
• Knowledge of childcare WACs, early Achievers QRIS, or other regulations.
• Experience with data visualization and performance metrics (Power BI/Tableau).

Responsibilities

• Setting goals for the work unit.
• Reviewing and updating program policies and procedures.
• Developing systems, processes, and workflows for maximum productivity.
• Resolving customer requests and program complaints.
• Ensuring high-quality customer service.
• Creating standard data management procedures and acting as SME for data systems.
• Leading and potentially serving as the Emergency Child Care Initiative lead.
