Job summary

University of Colorado Boulder is seeking an Equity and Compliance Investigator and Case Resolutions Specialist within the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance (OIEC). This role supports prevention and adjudication of protected class harassment, discrimination, and related violations, educating the campus community on policies and procedures.

The Investigator collaborates with a wide network of campus and external partners to tailor remedies-based resolutions and maintain case

Qualifications

• Extensive training in discrimination and harassment law.
• Specialized training in investigations and understanding federal, state, and local laws.
• Strong verbal communication and writing skills for report writing.
• Experience in higher education setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations by gathering information from complainants, respondents, and witnesses.
• Collect and review relevant documentation and evidence.
• Analyze information and compose final investigative reports.
• Tailor remedies-based resolutions to prevent recurrence and address impact.
• Facilitate adaptable resolutions in collaboration with the team.
• Provide parties with clear information on policies and procedures used.
• Assess urgency to determine appropriate actions in consultation with the team.
• Refer parties to resources and coordinate with external agencies as needed.
• Establish and maintain case files and ensure consistent data entry.
• Complete determinations for formal grievances under applicable policies.
