Job summary

TalentFish is seeking an Equity Administration Consultant in Northbrook, IL. This W2 contract role requires 5+ years in equity compensation within a public company, focusing on ESPP and LTI programs, and experience with RSUs, PSUs, stock options, and related lifecycle events.

You will manage global LTI and ESPP processes, ensure SOX compliance, and support executive disclosures. Strong Excel and Fidelity PSW experience are preferred, with hybrid onsite work three days per week.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering ESPP and LTI programs.
• Experience with equity award types and lifecycle events including RSUs, PSUs, stock options, SARs, grants, vesting, releases, exercises, cancellations, and terminations.
• Experience with a stock plan administration platform; Fidelity PSW strongly preferred.
• Strong experience with equity data validation, reconciliations, SOX controls, and audit support.
• Experience supporting executive compensation disclosures, CD&A, or annual proxy preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data comparisons, and complex reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Administer global LTI programs, including grants, vesting and release events, exercises, cancellations, conversion, and other equity transactions.
• Support the ESPP lifecycle, including enrollment, payroll contributions, processing, reconciliations, exceptions, and reporting.
• Review and validate equity transactions, calculations, payroll files, participant data, and corrections.
• Maintain accurate participant and award data within the stock plan administration platform.
• Partner with Payroll and Finance on taxable events, funding, accounting support, reporting, and data validation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and event-based reconciliations and maintain documentation for SOX controls and audits.
• Support annual proxy and executive compensation reporting, including data and schedules.

Overview

TalentFish is casting a line for an experienced Equity Administration Consultant. This is a W2 contract opportunity supporting a global, publicly traded organization in Northbrook, IL.

This consultant will provide critical coverage for the Equity Administration function, with a strong focus on Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) and Long-Term Incentive (LTI) programs. We're looking for someone who can step in quickly, independently manage time-sensitive equity transactions and reconciliations, and partner effectively across Payroll, Finance, Legal, HR, SOX, and Executive Compensation.

What You Bring to the Role

• 5+ years of direct equity compensation administration experience within a publicly traded company.

• Experience with equity award types and lifecycle events including RSUs, PSUs, stock options, SARs, grants, vesting, releases, exercises, cancellations, and terminations.
• Experience with a stock plan administration platform; Fidelity PSW is strongly preferred.
• Strong experience with equity data validation, reconciliations, SOX controls, and audit support.
• Experience supporting executive compensation disclosures, CD&A, and/or annual proxy preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data comparisons, and complex reconciliations.
• Ability to independently manage sensitive, deadline-driven work and partner effectively with Payroll, Finance, Legal, HR, and executive stakeholders.
• Global equity administration and Section 16 experience are highly desirable.
• CEP, ECA, or comparable equity compensation credentials are a plus.

What You'll Do

• Administer global LTI programs, including grants, vesting and release events, exercises, cancellations, award conversions, and other equity transactions.
• Support the ESPP lifecycle, including enrollment, payroll contribution files, purchase processing, reconciliations, exceptions, and reporting.
• Review and validate equity transactions, calculations, payroll files, participant data, and corrections.
• Maintain accurate participant and award data within the stock plan administration platform.
• Partner with Payroll and Finance on taxable events, funding, accounting support, reporting, and data validation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and event-based reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation for SOX controls and audits.
• Support annual proxy and executive compensation reporting, including preparation and validation of equity data and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with Legal, HR, SOX, Executive Compensation, and external providers on compliance, controls, reporting, and complex equity matters.
• Manage critical deadlines, identify and elevate risks, and maintain clear documentation and handoff materials throughout the engagement.

Compensation Information

The expected pay range for this position is $60–$74 per hour W2, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
