Job summary

Roux Associates Inc seeks a Database Analyst to manage environmental data using EarthSoft's EQuIS, support EDDS processing, and help administer the EQuIS database. The role collaborates with our environmental data management team as we expand EQuIS-based services.

Expect to work from our Burlington, MA office at least three days a week. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of EQuIS experience, strong SQL and MS Office skills, and a passion for client-facing dashboards and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of environmental data management experience with EarthSoft's EQuIS in a consulting or regulated environment.
• Experience processing and QA/QC'ing laboratory EDDs efficiently using EQuIS (EDP) or similar workflow.
• Working knowledge of EQuIS configuration/administration concepts.
• Strong skills with Microsoft software including MS Access and MS Excel.
• Interest in building client-facing outputs (dashboards/reporting) using EQuIS dashboards.
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills for querying and reports.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage, process, and QA/QC environmental data in EQuIS to ensure accuracy and readiness for reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with project managers, scientists, engineers, and GIS staff to prioritize data tasks and meet timelines.
• Process laboratory and field EDDs in EQuIS, perform QA/QC and corrections coordination with labs and staff.
• Support data tracking, loading, and delivery workflows.
• Develop, run, and refine standard SQL queries and reports to support project needs.
• Assist with EQuIS DB administration and configuration tasks including reference values and templates.
• Develop client-facing dashboards/reports (EQuIS and Power BI) translating data into usable outputs.
• Document workflows and QA/QC procedures to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Provide hands-on training and ongoing support to staff on EQuIS and related workflows.
