Job summary

Western States Equipment Co. is seeking a diligent Yard Technician to receive, inspect, and clean equipment for the Cat Rental Store, and to store attachments neatly.

Responsibilities include inspecting returned machines and attachments within 24 hours, coordinating parts movement, maintaining yard cleanliness, and promoting safety while assisting customers in the yard with walk-arounds and PPE.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass CDL requirements.
• English communication skills required (speak/read/write).
• Experience in customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect returned machines and attachments for damage and record fuel levels.
• Complete machine check-in and inspection within 24 hours of return.
• Assist in shipping/receiving parts and equipment between stores.
• Maintain yard cleanliness and organization.
• Engage with customers in the yard and provide PPE and walk-around explanations.
• Promote safety and adhere to safety policies.
• Support training and company initiatives as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
