Job summary

Western States Equipment is seeking a yard technician to maintain and inventory heavy rents, sales, and used equipment in the yard. You will instruct customers on proper use and safety, load/unload machines, and ensure equipment is clean and ready for delivery.

The role requires CDL and a strong focus on safety, with responsibilities that include inspecting returned machines, organizing the yard, and coordinating shipping/receiving documents.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Associates degree preferred.
• CDL license required.
• Previous industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructs customer on proper use and safety procedures.
• Loads and unloads machines on customer transportation.
• Maintains organization and appearance of the yard.
• Completes documents for shipping and receiving equipment.
• Inspects machines upon customer return for damage and fuel levels.
• May assist other technicians with minor repairs or maintenance.
• Washes, details, and touches up machines upon return to maintain appearance.
• Delivers and picks equipment as needed.
• Assists with shop cleanup.
• Handles all public and internal inquiries promptly and friendly.
• Adheres to customer care standards and safety policies.
