Job summary

Hawthorne Cat, a leading family-owned dealer in construction machinery, is hiring for a yard/warehouse role in California. You will manage check-in/check-out, fueling, and equipment prep for sales and demos, while ensuring safety and inventory accuracy.

Interact with customers and haulers and learn to operate equipment safely in the yard. You will support the sales team by communicating safety requirements to customers and handling routine yard tasks, with opportunities for growth and technical

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Must have a valid California Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Forklift and Scissor Lift Certification within 30 days of employment.
• Able to demonstrate high proficiency in computer/phone applications.
• Must have a mobile phone for apps and photos.
• Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Receive, release, and organize machines and attachments.
• Serve as primary contact for customers and haulers entering the facility.
• Maintain accurate inventory control and support check-in/check-out process.
• Prepare equipment for sales/demo and staging.
• Assist sales with safety practices and customer communication.
• Operate CAT Inspect or similar inspection programs as needed.
• Keep the yard neat and compliant with traffic policies.
• Support other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
