Job summary

Banker Steel Company, LLC seeks an Equipment Yard Manager to oversee daily operations of the NYCC equipment yard. You will lead a hands-on team, track tools and consumables, and coordinate maintenance, repairs, and deployments to support field projects.

You will manage inventory, vendor relationships, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across multiple sites, including crane inspections and approvals. Requires strong leadership and budget awareness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in equipment management within construction, industrial, or heavy equipment industries.
• Strong knowledge of fleet management, equipment maintenance, and logistics.
• Experience with budgeting, procurement, and vendor negotiations.
• Understanding of OSHA and safety regulations related to equipment usage.
• OSHA 30, Forklift Certification, and valid Driver’s License.
• Certifications in equipment management, crane use, or safety compliance are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high levels of equipment yard organization and housekeeping at all times.
• Oversee maintenance schedules and repairs, ensuring equipment is rental ready and coordinated with vendors.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and track usage across multiple job sites using Align/ToolWatch.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety regulations; assist investigations as needed.
• Coordinate equipment needs and availability across all jobs with managers and vendors.
• Lead and train yard staff, ensuring safety procedures are followed.
• Coordinate loading, shipping, and delivery of equipment and consumables.
