Job summary

Western States Equipment Company is seeking a skilled diesel technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across engine and powertrain systems. You will aid in electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, and cab systems, with focus on preventive maintenance and service reporting.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, plus an associate degree in diesel technology or related experience. A valid driver’s license and tooling are required; English proficiency is essential for day-to-day

Qualifications

Proof of high school diploma or GED.
Associates degree in diesel technology or one-year equivalent experience.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Appropriate technician level tooling required.
Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).

Responsibilities

Develops basic troubleshooting skills on engine and equipment systems under supervision.
Assists with testing and data comparison to specifications.
Assists with repairs and diagnosing machine failures per time guidelines.
Performs inspections and minor troubleshooting during preventative maintenance schedules.
Maintains service reports and warranties using STW systems.
