Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree in diesel technology or trade diploma or 1-year equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Appropriate technician level tooling.
• Ability to obtain job-related certifications for specialty equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and adheres to safety policies; ensures safe work environment.
• Develops basic troubleshooting under supervision of Journeyman/Master Tech.
• Assists with engine preventative maintenance and powertrain work.
• Tests, repairs, and services electrical, hydraulic, HVAC and cab systems.
• Supports undercarriage troubleshooting and repair tasks.
• Participates in continued education and uses service manuals for tasks.
• Writes and reads service reports; meets internal/external client expectations.
