Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking an Equipment Technician in Harahan, LA. The role focuses on safely cleaning and disinfecting medical equipment and maintaining proper par levels for each department.

Responsibilities include reading par sheets, communicating with hospital staff, following infection control procedures, and stocking supplies. Shifts run Thursday through Monday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with a pay rate of $15.00–$16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Completed all safety and task training certification
• Ability to read inventory forms, read and follow instructions, and communicate clearly

Responsibilities

• Walk or stand for long periods.
• Answer and respond to phone calls and emails from hospital staff.
• Clean and disinfect medical equipment using approved disinfectant.
• Read par sheets and inventory levels.
• Adhere to hospital policies and infection control processes.
• Obtain supplies via Stock Acquisition Process.
• Perform duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Operate pushcart for transporting equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Work in a team with other employees.
• Perform repetitive tasks.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Follow all company protocols and rules.
• Take direction from supervision.
• Interact professionally with staff and customers.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper PPE.
• Present professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and reporting systems.

Job Overview

The Equipment Technician will be responsible for safely cleaning and disinfecting medical equipment and maintaining appropriate par levels for each department.

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Walk and or stand for long periods of time
• Answer and respond to phone calls and emails from hospital staff
• Appropriately clean and disinfect medical equipment using the approved disinfectant
• Able to read par sheets and inventory levels
• Adhere to hospital policies and infection control processes
• Obtain supplies via Stock Acquisition Process
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Operate pushcart for transporting equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees

• Ability to read inventory forms
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

Shifts And Compensation

Thursday-Monday 7:00am-3:30pm off every Tuesday and Wednesday.

$15.00-$16.00 per hour
