Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP seeks an Equipment Technician to sanitize medical equipment and manage department par levels in a hospital setting. The role requires reading inventory forms, following infection control procedures, and communicating with staff. You will maintain clean equipment and assist with supply stocking in a team environment.

The position offers a standard evening-to-night shift schedule with competitive hourly compensation and SBM’s comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Reading inventory forms and instructions accurately.
• Strong ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals and other documents.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment and safe use of chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential duties safely and satisfactorily.
• Clean and disinfect medical equipment using approved disinfectant.
• Read par sheets and monitor inventory levels.
• Follow infection control processes and hospital policies.
• Operate pushcart and maintain assigned area.
• Respond to phone and email from hospital staff.
• Report incidents and maintain clean work area.

Title: Equipment Technician

Job Overview

The Equipment Technician will be responsible for safely cleaning and disinfecting medical equipment and maintaining appropriate par levels for each department.

Roles & Responsibilities

• To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Walk and or stand for long periods of time
• Answer and respond to phone calls and emails from hospital staff
• Appropriately clean and disinfect medical equipment using the approved disinfectant
• Able to read par sheets and inventory levels
• Adhere to hospital policies and infection control processes
• Obtain supplies via Stock Acquisition Process
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Operate pushcart for transporting equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment

• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

Shifts and Compensation

Wednesday-Sunday:2:30PM-11:00PM, $13.00-14.00 per hour
