Job summary

McDonald's is seeking an Equipment Repair Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair restaurant equipment and facility systems, including HVAC and refrigeration, across our Virginia locations.

You will perform preventive maintenance, read wiring diagrams, and support safe, efficient restaurant operations, with opportunities for training and career growth within the company.

This role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts to ensure maximal uptime and quality service.

Qualifications

• EPA HVAC Certification (Universal Certification preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance, HVAC, refrigeration, or commercial food-service equipment repair.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and emergency call-outs when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on restaurant equipment and facility systems.
• Ensure operational efficiency and safety to minimize downtime and asset risk.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
