Job summary

Winter4Kids in New Jersey is seeking staff to support Program & Equipment Operations. You will ensure equipment is handled per manufacturer guidelines, prepare participant gear, and maintain records of testing, adjustments, and issues.

The role also involves greeting guests, collecting profile data, and sizing boots, skis, snowboards, and helmets with care for safety and guest satisfaction. You will help maintain a clean, organized department workspace and coordinate gear repairs as needed,

Responsibilities

• Handle and adjust equipment per manufacturer guidelines and Winter4Kids procedures
• Coordinate preparation and distribution of participant gear (jackets, pants, gloves, helmets)
• Inspect equipment and gear for condition, function, and readiness
• Maintain equipment testing, adjustment, maintenance, and issue records
• Keep equipment and gear systems organized to support arrival, fitting, and departure
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe department work environment
• Explain basic gear operation and safety instructions to guests; answer fit/function questions
• Greet guests, collect accurate profile data, and correctly size boots, skis, snowboards, and helmets
• Identify equipment concerns and coordinate repairs or replacements with the manager
• Model and enforce safety procedures and standards
• Perform other duties to support Winter4Kids programs and operations

• Ensure equipment is handled and adjusted in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and Winter4Kids procedures.
• Coordinate the preparation and distribution of participant gear, including jackets, pants, gloves, and helmets.
• Inspect equipment and participant gear for condition, proper function, and program readiness.
• Maintain accurate equipment testing, adjustment, maintenance, and issue records as required.
• Maintain an organized equipment and participant gear system that supports efficient participant arrival, fitting, and departure.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe department work environment.
• Clearly explain basic gear operation and safety instructions to guests, answering questions regarding fit and function.
• Greet guests, gather accurate profile data (height, weight, age, skier type, boot size), and correctly size boots, skis, snowboards, and helmets.
• Identify equipment concerns and coordinate repair or replacement needs with the appropriate manager.
• Maintain an organized equipment and participant gear system that supports efficient participant arrival, fitting, and departure.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe department work environment.
• Model and enforce established safety procedures and operational standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Winter4Kids programs and operations.
