Winter4Kids is seeking a Lift Operations Attendant to responsibly run the surface lift, triple chairlift, and quad chairlift while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment on the mountain.

You will assist riders, verify credentials, and perform daily lift procedures, with a focus on safety, clear guidance, and a supportive, inclusive experience for skiers and snowboarders of all ages.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to work outdoors in winter weather.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and variable schedules.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to complete all required Winter4Kids training.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Winter4Kids' surface lift, triple chairlift, and quad chairlift.
  • Assist participants with loading, riding, and unloading lift equipment.
  • Monitor lift operations to ensure safety.
  • Slow or stop lifts to assist participants.
  • Verify lift access credentials.
  • Perform daily opening, operational, and closing procedures.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections and report safety concerns.
  • Follow lift operating procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Welcome participants with a positive attitude.
  • Assist participants of all ages with patience and professionalism.
  • Provide clear instructions on safe lift use.
  • Help create a fun, inclusive mountain environment.
  • Represent Winter4Kids' mission and values.

Job description

At Winter4Kids, every role helps create life-changing experiences for youth.

As a Lift Operations Attendant, you help provide a safe, welcoming, and efficient experience for every participant visiting the mountain. You are responsible for the daily operation of Winter4Kids' surface lift, triple chairlift, and quad chairlift while creating an environment where young people can safely build confidence through skiing and snowboarding.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Safely operate Winter4Kids' surface lift, triple chairlift, and quad chairlift in accordance with all operating procedures.
  • Assist participants with safe loading, riding, and unloading from lift equipment.
  • Monitor lift operations continuously to ensure participant safety.
  • Slow or stop lifts when necessary to safely assist participants.
  • Verify lift access credentials.
  • Perform daily opening, operational, and closing procedures for assigned lifts.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections and immediately report any mechanical or safety concerns.
  • Follow all lift operating procedures and emergency response protocols.

  • Welcome every participant with a positive, friendly, and encouraging attitude.
  • Assist participants of all ages and ability levels with patience and professionalism.
  • Provide clear instructions on safe lift use.
  • Help create a fun, inclusive, and supportive mountain environment.

Qualifications

Salary: $16 per hour
