Job summary

Mortenson is seeking motivated, adaptable individuals for its summer Equipment Solutions Intern program. You’ll gain hands-on experience on project teams, help solve real problems, stay organized, and communicate across teams from day one.

The internship runs May–August 2027 and offers exposure to equipment management, system/software usage, procurement support, crane sourcing, and construction field operations, with mentorship and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or other related degree.
• Demonstrate strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills and show initiative and leadership.
• Showcase a positive and professional attitude and solid customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Management – planning and procurement of equipment utilized during the construction process including processing equipment requests/transactions (internal and third‑party rentals).
• System/Software management – exposure to the various software used to manage equipment and process equipment rentals.
• Procurement – assistance with receiving support, contract document management, and consumable purchasing.
• Exposure to crane selection and sourcing, including sizing equipment, evaluating rental options, and soliciting vendor bids.
• Exposure to equipment facility and construction field operations.
