Job summary

Altorfer Cat is seeking a Business Development Representative in Illinois to sell Cat Compact Equipment and solutions within an assigned market. You will build and maintain relationships with contractors, municipalities, landscapers, and other equipment users, while coordinating with Machine Sales, Rental, Parts, Service, and Marketing teams to deliver top-tier customer experiences.

The role emphasizes territory growth, needs assessments, and promoting attachments, financing, and service

Qualifications

Previous sales experience in construction equipment, agriculture equipment, rental equipment, heavy trucks, or related industries.
Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment, compact construction equipment, attachments, and work tools.
Experience using CRM systems to manage customer relationships and sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

Sell Cat Compact Equipment and related solutions within the assigned market.
Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers and identify new opportunities.
Manage the sales process from prospecting to delivery and follow-up.
Collaborate with branch teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
Utilize CRM for customer management, forecasting, and activity tracking.
