Altorfer Inc. is seeking a Business Development Representative to sell Caterpillar Compact Equipment and related solutions from a branch location in Illinois.

You will build relationships with contractors, municipalities, landscapers, and other customers while targeting revenue across equipment, parts, service, and financing. You will collaborate with Machine Sales, Rental, Parts, Service, and Marketing teams to deliver a superior local experience and drive growth through inbound inquiries and

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in business, marketing, construction management, agriculture, or related field.
• Previous sales experience in construction or related equipment industries.
• Experience working with contractors, municipalities, landscapers, or industrial accounts.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment and attachments.
• Experience using CRM to manage relationships and opportunities.
• Proven track record of achieving sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Sell Cat Compact Equipment, tools, attachments within the market area.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing customers and identify new ones.
• Achieve annual sales objectives for equipment, parts, service, financing, and support.
• Prepare quotations, financing options, machine recommendations and proposals.
• Manage the sales process from prospecting to delivery and follow-up.
• Participate in demonstrations, trade shows, and branch events.
• Maintain high activity with customers via calls, emails and visits.
