Job summary

Altorfer Inc. is seeking an outside sales professional in Illinois to sell and rent new and used Caterpillar heavy construction equipment and allied products. This 100% commission role rewards performance and targets growth in Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford counties.

You will build lasting customer relationships, conduct presentations, and provide viable equipment solutions while traveling to job sites and trade shows, with substantial earning potential from a uncapped commission plan.

Qualifications

• Sales experience is a plus.
• Must reside or relocate to the territory.
• Construction knowledge desired.
• Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to create customer relationships.
• Ability to use value-added selling techniques and models.
• Strong financial and negotiating skills.
• Computer literate with Internet and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to trade shows and training sessions.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record (MVR check).

Responsibilities

• Sell and rent Caterpillar heavy equipment and allied products.
• Achieve maximum sales in assigned territory by working with existing customers and targeting new accounts.
• Provide viable equipment solutions to Heavy Construction customer base.
• Understand used equipment market to sell used machines and assess trade values.
• Meet or exceed market growth goals.
• Prepare sales presentations, reports and sales quotes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
