Simpson Strong-Tie in Fulton, MO is seeking an Equipment Software Engineer to own Windows-based applications used with manufacturing and equipment systems. You will combine strong C#/.NET development with practical mechanical and electrical understanding to deliver reliable software for factory operations.

You will collaborate with controls, electrical, mechanical, and service teams, apply AI-assisted tools for test creation, and ensure safe, maintainable software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, software engineering, info systems or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Five+ years of software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support Windows-based equipment software using C# and .NET (35%).
• Troubleshoot complex equipment-related problems across software and hardware domains (20%).
• Integrate software with PLCs and industrial equipment using Modbus/OPC (15%).
• Serve as final software-support escalation point for difficult issues (10%).
• Develop and maintain automated tests and validation processes; use AI tools for test development (10%).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and improve supportability (5%).
