Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc. in Stockton, CA, is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Engineer to design electrical control systems for industrial equipment from concept to production and installation.

You will create electrical schematics, design control panels, support PLC and HMI programming with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and other controllers, and ensure NEC/UL compliance while collaborating with mechanical and fabrication teams to deliver reliable, high-quality systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years designing industrial electrical control systems.
• Experience designing industrial control panels and schematics.
• Knowledge of industrial automation and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with PLC programming and industrial networking.
• Strong reading of schematics, wiring diagrams and drawings.
• Analytical, troubleshooting and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control systems for industrial machinery and automation projects.
• Create schematics, panel layouts, BOMs, and wiring diagrams.
• Assist with PLC programming and HMI development; troubleshoot during production.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure integration and manufacturability.
