Job summary

Wagner Construction Inc. in Cheyenne, WY seeks an Equipment Manager and Construction Shop Supervisor to lead maintenance, repair and fleet operations. You will direct mechanics and drivers, coordinate projects, and ensure safety and efficiency across sites.

The role requires knowledge of heavy equipment repair, strong leadership, and the ability to move supplies between locations while maintaining regulatory compliance. Per diem and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; able to work under deadlines.
• Experience with heavy equipment maintenance and repair in a construction setting.
• Proficient computer skills including spreadsheet and document programs.
• OSHA 30-hour training or be willing to complete within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, overhaul and rebuilding of trucks and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose problems remotely or on-site and recommend repairs.
• Select staff and coordinate activities, scheduling work and setting priorities.
• Maintain master schedule for deliveries and coordinate drivers with field needs.
• Determine optimal routing and load frequencies for hauled materials.
• Ensure DOT compliance and safety regulations across operations.
• Research new tools and methods to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Provide training on hydraulics, engines, welding, and fabrication.
