Job summary

Restaurant Brands International Inc. is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead building upkeep across multiple restaurant brands, manage vendor relationships, and oversee preventive maintenance programs.

You will define scopes of work, review contracts and invoices, coordinate capital projects, and ensure safe, efficient operations while supporting emergency response and cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience managing facilities in a restaurant or retail environment.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and building systems.
• Ability to negotiate with vendors and manage contracts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Determine building repairs and vendors needed to have an efficient operating building.
• Build relationships with above-restaurant leadership and vendors.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs for buildings, equipment, grounds, HVAC, and restaurant support systems.
• Develops and maintains a network of quality local and/or regional service providers; negotiates, reviews, and executes contracts.
• Defines and prepares specific scopes of work for ongoing repairs, improvements, and equipment installation.
• Reviews proposals, contracts, and invoices to ensure accuracy and value.
• Identifies current and future capital needs and develops capital investment strategies and budget proposals.
• Places and tracks equipment orders.
• Provides continuous improvement ideas and implements them appropriately.
• Partners with cross-functional department initiatives and supports brand research initiatives.
• Supports all types of emergency situations including damage assessments, recovery response, emergency service, and backup utility services.
• General repair and maintenance of restaurant equipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Knowledge of facilities, vendor and negotiation management
• Skilled in project management principles and techniques
• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
• 3 to 5 years previous experience; specific experience in restaurant operations preferred
• Ability to travel 50% and as needed
