Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of sales experience, preferably with new customer acquisition.
  • Background in landscaping, irrigation, nursery, or hardscapes preferred.
  • Experience with turf equipment like sprayers and spreaders.

Position Overview

*CANDIDATE MUST LIVE IN THE DENVER AREA*

As the Equipment Sales & Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in driving equipment sales, optimizing inventory, and supporting operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include:

Inventory & Vendor Management:

  • Monitor daily equipment inventory levels to ensure availability and accuracy
  • Collaborate with local management and vendors to manage stocking strategies, manufacturer specials, shipping discounts, and volume pricing
  • Design and execute marketing campaigns, including flyers, promotions, product bundles, and social media

Financial & Strategic Growth:

  • Drive revenue growth across all equipment categories
  • Partner with category managers to improve margins through strategic product mix and promotional planning
  • Ensure efficient inventory management in collaboration with sales teams and local leadership
  • Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and Category Management to support business goals

Customer Engagement:

  • Plan and lead in-field equipment demonstrations for end-user customers
  • Support new equipment deliveries and assist with operational setup when needed
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for minor equipment issues
  • Represent SiteOne at local industry trade shows and events, showcasing our full range of equipment offerings

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Promote collaboration between in-store teams and outside sales representatives to drive equipment sales
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and developing associates on all equipment lines
  • Service as a visible leader in stores, coaching team members and supporting new initiatives
  • Educate associates on product features, usage, and effective sales techniques to enhance customer experience and performance

Starting Salary: $70,000 and up (plus commission, STI, and more)


Skills We Are Seeking

  • 3 to 5 years of sales experience, preferably with new customer acquisition
  • Background in landscaping, irrigation, nursery, or hardscapes (1-3 years preferred)
  • Experience with turf equipment like sprayers and spreaders
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Familiar with inventory and basic financials (P&L)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of sales processes and solution selling; quick thinker with solid decision-making skills
  • Confident presenter and team communicator
  • College degree in a Business/Management discipline or related experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
