Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, inspect, and maintain a wide range of motorized and mechanical equipment across Southeast Virginia.

The role requires ensuring a safe work environment, adhering to safety practices, and maintaining thorough maintenance records. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, plus vocational automotive training or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Vocational or technical training in automotive and equipment repair preferred.
• Equivalent experience may substitute education.
• ASE certifications or equivalent highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle and equipment failures using testing equipment and manuals.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs per PM schedule.
• Inspect vehicles under Virginia State Police inspection guidelines.
• Weld fabrication and component repair as needed.
• Prepare maintenance documentation and close work orders in the system.
• Operate light to heavy-duty trucks and equipment safely.
