Job summary

Branch is actively seeking an entry-level Mechanic I to support the inspection, maintenance, and repair of various heavy construction equipment in Virginia. Candidates should possess a high school diploma and some training in automotive or heavy equipment repair. This full-time position may include overtime and requires availability for on-call work during emergencies and inclement weather.

As part of the team, you will conduct preventative maintenance, assist in diagnosis, and ensure safe operation of equipment. Skills in lifting heavy objects and basic technical knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on heavy equipment.
  • Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues under supervision.
  • Maintain service records and document work performed.

Skills

Basic training in automotive/heavy equipment repair
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Valid driver’s license
