If you are a skilled and experienced mechanic with a passion for problem solving and diagnosing, and you want to be part of an elite team working on automotive and medium/heavy duty construction equipment, then this is the perfect opportunity for you! This position offers a chance to utilize your mechanical experience and diagnostic skills in maintaining the Light/Heavy Equipment Fleet for ADOT. CDL training will be provided.

This position is eligible for the ASE Stipend Pay Program, with potential earnings up to $14,400 annually with qualifying certifications. We reimburse 100% of the cost for passed tests and provide training assistance.
Uniforms are provided at no charge, and employees can participate in the Safety-toe Shoe reimbursement program (up to $250 every other year). A Personal Tool Allowance of $1000 annually and Tool Insurance Coverage are also provided.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm.
Starting salary: $23.5741 hourly ($49,034 annually), with potential to earn up to $30.4971 hourly ($63,434 annually) upon obtaining ASE Triple Master Certification.
This role involves diagnosing and repairing electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems on a variety of automotive and heavy construction equipment.
Three years of journey-level experience diagnosing and repairing trucks or construction equipment. ASE Master Certification in Medium-Heavy Duty Truck is preferred but not required.
Must possess or obtain a Class B CDL within six months, maintain a valid license, and meet other driving record standards. EPA Section 609 Certification or ability to obtain it within six months is required. All new hires must complete E-Verify.
Mandatory participation in the Arizona Retirement System (ASRS).
