Job summary

San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District Maintenance Department in San Marcos, Texas is seeking an Equipment Repair/IPM technician to maintain, repair, and assemble custodial equipment and assist with integrated pest management duties.

The role is full-time, nonexempt, with wage $19.15 per hour; requires high school diploma or GED preferred, valid driver's license, and mechanical skills; two years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must possess mechanical skills.
• Ability to operate power and hand tools.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Minimum two years of experience in general custodial equipment repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accept and complete custodial equipment repair work orders and assignments for district facilities.
• Maintain updated computer records of all district custodial equipment.
• Develop new skills to meet new responsibilities in repairing custodial equipment.
• Assist outside contractors to complete custodial equipment repairs and installation as needed.
• Communicate with campus custodial staff regarding custodial equipment repairs.
• Regular attendance and ability to report to work at the designated site daily.
• Comply with district and departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with relocation of furnishings and other duties as assigned.
