Job summary

Marlin Independent School District is seeking a Maintenance/Custodial worker to perform general maintenance and repair of district buildings, and assist with grounds upkeep. The role covers mechanical, electrical, and sanitary systems across district facilities.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of maintenance experience, a valid Texas driver's license, and the ability to follow instructions and work independently using hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining building structures and systems.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE use.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repair of district facilities, including woodwork, electrical switches/fixtures, plumbing fixtures, and doors.
• Inspect interior/exterior, playground equipment and grounds; perform minor repairs.
• Identify and report major repairs needed for structures and systems.
• Complete repairs as directed on work orders or by maintenance foreman.
• Assist with mowing and detailing of district grounds.
• Move, install, assemble, and repair furniture and playground equipment.
