San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District's San Marcos High School in San Marcos, Texas is seeking a Custodian (Nonexempt) to maintain cleanliness and safety across the campus. You will follow routine cleaning procedures, operate cleaning equipment, and assist with minor repairs while upholding district policies.

The position requires reliable, regular attendance with day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts; starting wage is $16.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and use of cleaning equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic techniques of minor repairs and building systems and operations.
• Experience preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Maintain cleanliness to ensure the comfort, health, and safety of students and staff.
• Be responsible for efficient cleaning of assigned areas within the allotted time.
• Follow procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities.
• Follow procedures for regulating heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
• Follow all safety instructions and procedures.
• Report emergencies or injuries to Lead Custodian or Associate Director of custodian Services immediately.
• Comply with district procedures for the storage and disposal of trash.
• Inspect machines and equipment for safety and efficiency prior to use and report any problems to Lead Custodian.
• Regular attendance; must be willing and able to report to work at designated site on a regular daily basis according to established work schedule.
