Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Huntsville, AL is seeking an estimator to manage the estimating process for First Equipment Company On-site Equipment Rental Programs (OERPs). You will develop detailed vendor rate analyses, assemble BOA baskets for bid leveling, and coordinate with Preconstruction, Procurement, and Operations to forecast equipment needs and pricing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 3+ years of related experience or equivalent
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Proven project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient with estimating processes and data analysis

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed rental rate analyses and vendor bid models for OERP programs
• Assemble RFP packages for rental vendors and support bid leveling
• Lead data management for preconstruction including vendor rate sheets and entitlement catalogs
• Collaborate with vendors, Preconstruction, Procurement and Operations to forecast equipment needs and pricing
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure complete coverage of equipment types and avoid scope gaps
• Support constructability reviews and site layout planning with vendors and operations
• Develop cost‑efficient equipment solutions and analyze program factors for accurate estimates
• Document post‑bid reviews and recommend actions to the OERP program lead
