Job summary

All Star Rents in San Rafael, CA is hiring a full-time sales counter associate. You will handle phone calls and walk-in customers at our San Rafael and Novato locations, schedule work orders, and drive sales of new and used equipment. Shifts end before 5:30pm; no nights or Sundays.

You’ll start with a 90-day bootcamp, learn servicing our equipment and the All Star Rents way. Requirements include 18+, CA driver’s license, ability to lift 50lbs, strong English communication, and a safety-minded

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Valid CA driver’s license with satisfactory record.
• Valid proof of eligibility to work in the US.
• Be able to lift 50lbs unaided.
• Computer literacy and basic software proficiency.
• Some mechanical aptitude; certifications a plus.
• Professional communication skills in English; bilingual a plus.
• Safety‑minded attitude; pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Working primarily at a sales counter in our San Rafael and Novato locations handling phone calls and walk-in customers.
• Schedule work orders and complete customer contracts.
• Maintain a proven track record of success selling new and used equipment for the branch.
• Responsible for showroom cleanliness and organization.
• Follow up with customers regarding rentals.
• Commission new jobs as necessary.
• Use knowledge of equipment to increase sales and drive business.
• Loading and unloading equipment for customers and assisting with safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Delivering equipment as needed.
• Keeping safety top priority.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Any tasks delegated by supervisor.
• Maintain professional appearance as a representative of All Star Rents.

All Star Rents is a family owned Equipment Rental business established in 1962 and is operated by the 3rd generation of family members today. Our 13 locations provide sales and rentals of quality construction equipment, tools, and vehicles.

This is a Full-time hourly position that will require Saturday shifts. All Shifts end before 5:30pm.

Bootcamp Training- Introductory 90 day training. We will train you on everything you need to know about servicing our equipment and customers the All Star Rents way.

Requirements

• 18 years or older.

• Computer Literacy- Typing and understanding computers/technology and basic software (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe PDF, etc.)
• Some mechanical aptitude and knowledge of construction equipment- Certifications a plus!
• Professional communication skills in English both written and verbal- Bilingual a plus!
• A serious attitude towards safety in the workplace.
• Satisfactory Background check
