Job summary

Chobani Equipment and Reliability Engineer position in New York focuses on improving asset and process efficiencies to deliver step-change results in OEE and cost. You will collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to redesign equipment and support new installations, leading projects and data-driven decisions.

The role requires leadership, Six Sigma knowledge, and the ability to work with internal and external teams to optimize packaging and filler equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field).
• 3–5 years of experience including plant-level work.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certified or able to achieve within 6 months.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Experience drafting technical documents and reports.
• Proficient with CAD and standard PC software.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex problems to deliver step-change improvements in OEE and/or Cost.
• Redesign equipment to meet OEE/Cost goals due to reliability/speed constraints.
• Lead root cause analysis, failure tracking, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with 3rd party engineering teams as needed.
• Prepare conceptual designs and floor plans for filler/packaging equipment.
• Apply Six Sigma and data-driven tools (FMEA, MTTR, MTBF) to problems.
• Serve as engineering SME on local project teams.
• Lead problem-solving and capital project initiatives.
• Assess vendors, review bid documents, and negotiate terms.
• Ensure project development meets budget and schedule; follow GMP.
• Support transitions of capital projects to production teams.
