Job summary

Chobani is seeking an Equipment and Reliability Engineer to improve asset reliability and process performance, delivering sustained gains in OEE. You will work closely with Operations and Maintenance to eliminate repeat failures and drive upgrades with hands-on technical leadership.

The role focuses on reducing downtime, sustaining gains through disciplined PMs and standard work, and collaborating with Platform Managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field).
• 2-5 years of plant-level experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certified or ability to certify within 6 months.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience drafting technical documents and reports.
• Proficient with email, word processing, spreadsheets, and CAD.

Job description

The Equipment and Reliability Engineer improves asset reliability and process performance to deliver sustained gains in OEE and cost. Working in close partnership with Operations and Maintenance, this role applies engineering judgment and data-driven analysis to eliminate repeat failures, strengthen equipment capability, and support equipment upgrades and installations. The role requires hands-on technical leadership to drive problem solving, implement reliability improvements, and influence consistent execution across the plant.

Execute reliability improvements that reduce unplanned downtime, improve sleeving OEE, and sustain gains through disciplined PMs, rebuild plans, and standard work—while supporting Platform Managers and Maintenance with technical depth and follow-through.

What You Need To Be Successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field)
• 2-5 years of experience (including experience at the plant level)
• Six Sigma Green Belt certified or the ability to achieve certification within 6 months of start date
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both in oral and written form
• Experience creating and drafting technical documents and reports
• Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, computer aided design (CAD).

The salary range for this full-time position is $82,500.00 - $153,500.00, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
