Our Equipment Processing Technician must be organized, attentive to detail, and is an effective communicator in order to successfully process equipment according to Company and customer standards.

As an Equipment Processing Technician, you will help ensure flow of equipment is managed properly. You will be responsible for preparing and planning workflows for all equipment sent to calibration Lab, and effectively communicating when equipment has been received, and is ready for delivery/shipping/pick up. This role will work directly with the service and sales department and reports to the Cal-Lab Manager.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Receiving MTE and customer equipment
  • Sending & receiving customer email correspondence
  • Create Work Orders as needed
  • Notify Cal-Lab of any equipment that is received with an expedite request
  • Determine what MTE needs to be put at the front of the line
  • Prepare equipment to be set up for delivery/shipping/customer pickup
  • Notify CSR of equipment ready for delivery/shipping/customer pickup and provide shipping information
  • Assist with MTE
  • Monitor MTE stored at the office to ensure calibration is kept up to date
  • Daily check in/out MTE brought to or from office
  • Report MTE discrepancies to Deputy Quality Manager
  • Report damaged MTE to Deputy Quality Manager
  • Process outsourcing documents for MTE and customer’s equipment that need to be sent to vendor
  • Enter calibration documents of equipment that has been sent out to vendor for calibration
  • Maintain stock of consumable standards (MTE closet & Cal-Lab) used for calibration and ensure dates are current
  • Coordinate reorders of consumables with Accounts Payables
  • Scan all pack slips for Cal-lab/MTE consumables and outsourced equipment and email to Accounts Payable
  • Perform HEPA filter leak test once received and inspect for damages
  • Assist with in-house projects as needed

Job requirements:

  • Lifting of various test equipment with weight ranges between 6 and 50 lbs.
  • Pushing and pulling a tool cart up to a weight of 200 lbs.
  • Technician must have the ability to lift 75 lbs. and occasionally lift 50 lbs. overhead
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • Positive attitude and excellent work ethic
