Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an Equipment Specialist for its Quonset, RI site to own the lifecycle of major facility and capital equipment. You will build and maintain a site-wide preventive maintenance program, manage inspection cycles, support CapEx planning from justification to installation, and serve as the SME on monument and facility equipment.

The role requires deep technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and strong communication skills to drive behavioral change across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in facilities management, equipment engineering, maintenance, or related manufacturing role
• Experience building or improving preventive maintenance programs
• Hands-on knowledge of capital equipment lifecycle management
• Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
• Effective communicator who can drive process adoption
• Experience with CMMS for PM scheduling, work orders, and asset tracking
• Overhead crane, hoisting and rigging experience
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and own the site-wide preventive maintenance program for major facility and production equipment
• Serve as SME on major capital equipment; support installation, qualification, and lifecycle management
• Assist CapEx planning: budgets, timelines, procurement, installation, validation
• Diagnose complex equipment issues and coordinate repairs with vendors/OEMs
• Manage inspection cycles to ensure safety, regulatory and operational standards
• Support training plans for operators and technicians on major equipment
• Develop, standardize, and maintain SOPs for equipment operation, maintenance, and changeover
• Analyze equipment performance data to identify improvement opportunities and reduce downtime
